Watch this Premature Baby’s Amazing First Year of Life

In an amazing video, proud dad Benjamin Miller decided to capture his son’s first year of life.

16-month-old Ward Miles Miller may seem like a hefty little boy, but he actually started life barely weighing a pound and a half.

The 7 minute video starts off in his first days in the NICU where he was attached to a scary multitude of tubes and machines.

“It just breaks your heart,” Benjamin recounted. “You almost feel guilty walking out of there with your baby.”

After a few minutes into the video, you see Ward’s exit from the NICU and his slow transformation into a healthy baby boy.

“The response has been great, so many people have shared how it’s touched their lives,” the dad said. “I’ve been blown away.” 

“I felt the same way watching—so happy, but then it sort of sets in what’s happening,” he also added. “I definitely cried while I was making the film. There’s a moment here when the camera is shaky, but I didn’t want to cut it, because it wasn’t about the perfect moments.”
