Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Scrunchie ~~ Make your own

Crochet a patriotic scrunchie for 4th of July celebrations or costumes.

What you need

Small amounts of Red, White and Blue Red Heart Comfort Sport Yarn
Scunci No Damage Hair Ties  (Goody or Scunci used for sample)
Crochet Hook, Size G/4.5mm or Crochet Hook, Size F/4mm

Instructions

Directions with Blue Rnd 1) Sc around ponytail elastic. Make 30 Sc (33 Sc if using sport yarn) or until elastic band is covered completely. Join.

Rnd 2) Ch 1. Sc in same space. *Ch 3, Skip 1 Sc, 1 Sc in next Sc. Rep from*around. Join to first Sc. Fasten off Blue.

Rnd 3) With White; Join with Sc to any Ch 3 loop. *Ch 3, Sc in next loop. Rep*around. Join. Fasten off White.

Rnd 4) With Red, join with Sc to any Ch 3 loop. Ch *Ch 4, Sc in next loop. Rep*around. Join.

Rnd 5) SL St to first loop. Ch 2, 4 Hdc in same loop. *Sl St in Sc, 5 Hdc in next loop. Rep*around. End with Sl St in last Sc.

Fasten off.
